About me
My name is Mikael Haqimi Bin Nahar Junaidi, a passionate student with a keen interest in technology and data engineering. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer (Data Engineering) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve always been driven by curiosity and a desire to solve real-world problems through innovation and technology. Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring art, music, and creative crafts, which provide a healthy balance to my technically focused studies and allow me to express my creative side.
I started my educational journey in primary school, where I built the fundamental skills needed for academic success and developed core values like discipline and teamwork. During my time at Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar, I further honed these skills and began focusing on technology and engineering. This led me to pursue the Foundation in Engineering program at UiTM Dengkil, where I gained a deeper understanding of core engineering concepts and further solidified my interest in data engineering. Now at UTM, I am immersed in a challenging and dynamic environment that enhances my technical expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and big data technologies. I am excited to continue learning and applying my knowledge to real-world problems, with aspirations to make a meaningful impact in the tech industry.

Courseworks
Year 1 Semester 1
In my first semester at UTM, I took coursework that covered fundamental topics that provide a strong foundation in coding, problem-solving, and the theoretical principles needed for my studies in data engineering. Click on the course to learn more!
Digital Logic (SECR1013)
This course was an eye-opening subject that helped me understand the foundational principles behind modern computing systems. I gained practical knowledge of binary systems, logic gates, and circuit design, which deepened my appreciation for how computers perform complex tasks through simple logical operations. The subject also enhanced my problem-solving skills by teaching me to analyze and design efficient circuits for real-world applications. This experience strengthened my understanding of the hardware-software relationship and its importance in developing reliable and efficient systems.
Technology and Information System (SECP1513)
This course gave me valuable insights into the role of IT in modern organizations. It broadened my understanding of how technology drives efficiency, supports decision-making, and enables innovation. I particularly enjoyed learning about databases and system integration, which reinforced my interest in data management. This course also highlighted the importance of staying updated on emerging technologies to remain relevant in the field.
Programming Technique I (SECJ1013)
This course was a pivotal subject in my journey as a data engineering student. It taught me the importance of writing clean, structured, and efficient code. The hands-on practice helped me build confidence in problem-solving and coding, especially when debugging and improving code quality. This subject showed me the power of logic and creativity in developing functional solutions, motivating me to explore more advanced programming concepts.
Discrete Structure (SECI1013)
Studying this course was a transformative experience as it deepened my logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
